Applied Psychology

Description

The Applied Psychology degree is designed to provide students with a broad ethical understanding of the psychological underpinnings of self and others, and skills to meet current job market demands. The program will prepare students to use psychological theories, concepts, and methods to address real world problems, especially those involving Black communities. Specialized transdisciplinary tracks will allow students to focus on specific employment goals. Program Objective The overall objective of the Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology program is to prepare students to become effective change agents by giving them the knowledge and skills to obtain employment in fields that will allow them to ethically address social and psychological issues affecting communities of color and other populations who have been underrepresented and overlooked in the distribution of access and advantage.
